Well... I wasn't exactly slick. However, I got through the day without embarrassing myself too much. I rather tore into an expert witness who pissed me off. Still...
Hey Kitty, don't worry! Just conjure a picture of that barrister doing some sort of 'Philipesque'antics before arriving at court and you'll be fine I think......
Steady Katie! If this gets about, I'm ruined. I can see the headlines now -
'Naked Barrister found in Pedigree Chum fueled three-in-a-bowl petting session with underage lurchers. Fifi, (not her real name), a French Poodle, tells all: "He tempted me with his Bonio," she said. "Later, he asked me whether I wanted to test his Chappie!"'
Thank you Katie ... and thank you Philip - I've just replied. Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it. I'm just a teeny bit utterly terrified, that's all *blush*
Well this is good Kitty. at least you are not so terrified now we have planted some useful imagery in your head and you've got some real life authentic advice from our man for Laphroiag or whatever but, hay! lets keep this one running for some further amusement surely.....bring on the pedigree chum.......(tee hee)
I'm so glad that you managed your day in court successfully; I sincerely hope that you continue along not merely "getting through the days" but taking them on in a strong and positive fashion - its really hard to get back into the world sometimes and you've taken a big BIG step! :) Would that I could help you with your papers, but I am merely a Bar Vocational Student with overtones of a PH.d in Law slung in! I hope that the case went well, and that others crossing your path in the near future will do the same.
Hay. Philip, seeing as you are good at tearing expert witnesses off a strip, any chance you could critique an article for me, to the tune of 3000words-by friday?
Well done Philip for getting back to it. Anne would be so proud of you honey. Now grab that bull by the horns and carry on with moving forward. She's with you every step of the way. Giving you the strength you need.
Was still hoping to see photos of naked dog feeding lol (cheeky)
I've just read your blog...from beginning to end. Vee from a Haven for Vee sent me. In each one I wanted to say "Shhhh, it's just me, don't worry." I wanted to tell you how blessed Ann was to have shared such love. I know, I share such a love...it's when even the bad days are good that you know you'll never be without her...she's all around you. I wish you peace, Phillip. Sandi
I wish for you this week that 'the daily grind' will be at least be accompanied by some sunshine, that there will be at least one uplifting event and that you might write another blog...
I finished the essay by the way. It might not be the best I've ever done but I let my keen sense of justice prevail.....the proof will be in the marking methinks

Well, sounds like a good beginning, anyway.
No sartorial embarassment either, I gather . . .
Keep it up!
Smiles from Obamaland to you!

Glad you got through it all, good luck for next week. Jane
I have blogged about the fact that I'm involved in a legal matter at the moment. I will be cross examined by a barrister soon - and am dreading it :-(

WooHoo! Philip lets loose!
(Note to self: do not piss off clever lawyerman.)
thinking it better your plan than attentive laphraoig and two dogs in a glass.
Maybe not a corner turned, but a definite bend in the road negotiated. A good start by the sound of it.

Hay. Philip,
seeing as you are good at tearing expert witnesses off a strip, any chance you could critique an article for me, to the tune of 3000words-by friday?
just a thought? x
Katie,
If you e-mail it to me, I shall look at it tonight.

Go Philip x
Rachel
u deserve a public great big thankyou for some very pertinent tips on ripping my article to pieces!
This I feel is quite remarkable given the difficult (understatement)time you are obviously going through.
Hoping we can get some more laughs out of the barrister business at timely intervals however, to lighten the load.
keep on keeping on.

Tsk ... still no 'naked' pictures I see.
I'm with Katie in wanting the world to know how generous Philip is with his time and insight.
Very many thanks. xx
