Alice C left a question in the comments' box and I am still pondering the answer an hour later.

However, her Blog inspired me to post this picture. It was taken by Ann at our house in France; but other than that, it really oughtn't to be on my Blog at all.

I think the pic is very evocative of your life at the moment.......the sun setting on your past in the distance....the car still in the present and the road of your future stretching before you....I love your 'Ship Inn'story.
Keep spinning your tales for us,I hope it proves to be therapy for you,it certainly is for me.

I had lunch with my mother today. We were talking about when my father died, and the grief afterwards. I found myself telling her about your blog and the openness and honesty with which you write.

See ... you have touched people with your words and courage. One of those people was me.

Like many others, I've been reading your blog. I still don't really know what to say other than your honesty is very brave.

Hmmm...I'm thinking that I might not show him the picture of the sportscar outside the home in France under a fabulous sky. I think I will go large on the downtrodden and oppressed and penniless student bit of your earlier posts.

You make a good point, Alice C.

I have slightly altered the picture that was originally posted here. It used to show a car in the foreground. The car reflected the sunset. However, it also detracted from it.

I wonder. Are we talking about MasterM?

Despite appearances to the contrary (in my Blog), the criminal Bar is not particularly well-paid. I spent 70% of my day defending people in the Crown Court; yet 70% of my income came from the civil work I did in the remaining 30%.

I can arrange a bit of work experience, if you like?
